The Shadow Over Innsmouth in Madrid

MADHOUSE Dear users, unfortunate or fortunately, depending how you look, my ever-tighter labor commitments not allow me to be updated with the desired rate this insane blog. Soon I hope to publish reviews and links to interesting films, bizarre, psychotronic, or virtually unprecedented.

Meanwhile, I can not stand here to announce an event to be held immediately in Madrid on Saturday October 30, the eve of Halloween. It is a dramatized version (or radio play, as preferred) of one of the most famous texts of the great master of horror Howard Phillips Lovecraft: The Shadow over Innsmouth .

This representation will be carried out under the II Gothic Week Madrid, and if you notice from these walls is, of course, for my very direct involvement in the project. The argument of the piece is: A genealogical research takes Robert Olmstead to the fishing town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts. A town shrouded in a dark secret and evil. Robert will discover what lies behind the strange aspect of the common people, and worship the gods of the sea, while deep into a nightmare without end.

voices all the characters are played by only four players who combined with sound effects, music composed specially for the show and the occasional nod to the fans, try to make your hair stand on end in the audience.

This show takes a step further and the month of February 2011, released in its theatrical version and completely. In fact, despite the constant adaptation to the movies will probably be the first time that HP Lovecraft is brought to the English stages. But that's another story.
